Well today it's all over. My four year marching band experience is done. Although the instructors were dictators, and the practices were long and boring, the people that I met in this program made it all worthwhile. I just can't believe it! Four years...done! This is going to be 100 times worse in August, when I have to say goodbye to some people that I may never see again. I mean, I feel like someone has died. Just the shock that something that I thought was always there, and would always be there, is now gone.

speaking of dying,
my cat is doing 100 times better. Last monday my mom almost put him to sleep because we thought his kidneys were shutting down on him, and we didn't want him to suffer. But as she was just about to sign the consent forms for the euthanasia, she decided she wanted a vet to look at my cat first, before she signed the signature of death. And very thankfully, my cat is now doing better. He can walk, meow, eat, drink, and do everything he could before. Thank God!
I was terrified of him dying, I just can't handle another death. So far this year two family members and two classmates of mine have died. And TJ, I'm sorry about your losses. Losing anyone that's close to you is devastating. I give you my condolences.
But I've had too much for 2007, I just can't deal with any more grief right now.

In other news, Senior year is amazing. I wish I could stay this young forever, and be with all my friends...(i'm sounding like Holden again...) but it just can't be that way. And realising that, well ..... it's kind of like a smack in the face. But I'm loving senior year, and I'm trying not to waste a single moment of it. I don't want to have regrets later in my life, and have to say "Why didn't I do that when I had the chance!?". Also, I've given everyone I've ever known another chance, meaning i'm not judging them or stereyotyping them...until they prove themselves unworthy. I Just don't want May to come around, meet someone really cool that I never really got the chance to know before, and ask myself "why couldn't I have met you 4 years earlier?".

Pretty much, the marching band banquet tonight brought on the realization that high school is coming to an end. One thought led to another, and i went from saying thank you for receiving an award to thinking that in june, it's all over. Theres still college...and the rest of my life ahead of me, but it's tough to say goodbye to people you've been with since you were 5.
